Council Decree 66/2009, dated 15 May, approving Plan Autonómico de Vivienda de la Comunidad Valenciana (Regional Housing Plan for the Comunidad Valenciana), for period 2009-2012.

Eligible citizens:

1. Pensioners 65 years of age or older whose family income does not exceed 1.5 times the Spanish IPREM index (Multi-Purpose Public Income Index)

2. Individuals with a disability or dependents, as per Law 39/2006, dated 14 December, regarding Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Assistance to Dependent Persons (Promoción de la Autonomía Personal y Atención a las Personas en Situación de Dependencia).

3. Persons deemed eligible by Resolutions published by the relevant General Directorate.

Applicant Conditions:

Depend on housing unit location and the number of individuals in the family unit.

How to apply for aid:

You must certify a minimum income level. For aid towards rental payments, the minimum income must be 0.5 times the Spanish IPREM index.

It does not matter if applicant has already obtained financial aid or loans in the ten years prior to this present application in the following cases:

a) When applying for aid owing to an increase in the number of individuals in the family unit.

b) When applying for aid for adapted housing for family members who have suffered recent disability.

c) When the individual has lost ownership of property owing to separation or divorce.

Housing and financial aid applicants must be registered in the “Registro de demandantes” (Applicant Registry)

This organisation provides integrated services for rental-related issues, that operates under the IVVSA. Here you will find a whole range of information: from general information on housing or answers to specific queries.

Also available is a Housing Listing Service where interested applicants can access housing provided their income does not exceed one to three and a half times the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (Salario Mínimo Interprofesional).

Valencian Network of Cooperation in Housing (Red Valenciana de Infovivienda Solidaria)

This is an integrated service acting as social intermediary and providing information services associated to housing. Its aim is to foster access to decent housing by collectives who most need aid for rent payments.

This Network of Cooperation in housing comprises those town councils, private, not-for-profit organisations and participating public institutions who wish to particpate as collaborating institutions.

The Valencian Youth Institute (Instituto Valenciano de la Juventud)  also provides services ranging from general housing-related information to assistance in signing up for the Housing Listing managed by the abovementioned Institute.
