Immigrant Voluntary Return Programme

The aim of the Voluntary Return Programme is to allow immigrants to return to their country of origin. It is directed to individuals in a socially vulnerable situation or individuals who are experiencing difficulty integrating socially and wish to return to their country of origin either for personal or other reasons and to facilitate integration.

Who is eligible for this programme?

 

All foreigners are eligible (immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees or protected persons) who wish to return to their country of origin.

 

They must be experiencing economic difficulties and find themselves in a socially vulnerable situation, without sufficient economic resources to return.

 

They must have lived in Spain for at least six months.

 

They must also submit a Report on their social conditions drawn up by Social Services of the City Council (their municipality of residence or a specialised NGO)

 

They must submit the Voluntary Declaration form.

 

What benefits does the Voluntary Return Programme provide?

 

- This programme provides general information and counselling on the current situation in the country of origin

- It provides the beneficiary with a one-way ticket to their country of origin, including room and board.

- Any unexpected medication expenses

- An extra €50 in a travel stipend for each member of the family unit

- Economic aid to assist in integration in the country of origin

- Assistance in settling in country of origin

- Cost of travel to municipality of residence

- The cost of travel companion if required

- Training and skill-building required for labour market of country of origin, study of project viability, support actions for reintegration and follow-up of project in country of origin.
