On 17 December 2008, the Order of the same date as published in DOCV number 5917, by the Council for Immigration and Citizenship, sets out regulatory provisions for financial aid towards local organisations in the Valencian Region, towards the creation and launching of AMICS agencies for 2009.

What aid is available? The aid shall be granted in the form of a subsidy towards the costs incurred in any investments made by local organisations in the Valencian Region for procurement of equipment and inventoriable material needed for the creation and launch of Mediation Agencies for Integration and Social Harmony (AMICS) under their name, during 2009. Where do I apply? The applications are to be submitted, as per the model attached in Appendix II, for the present call for applications. They must be sent to the General Directorate of Immigration at the Council for Immigration and Citizenship. These application forms are available on the following website: http://www.cic.gva.es. The applications, along with the Appendices and required documents must be duly completed and signed by the individual who legally represents the local organisation, and submitted to the Registry of the Council for Immigration and Citizenship, located at the Plaza de San Nicolás, 2 in Valencia (PC 46002) or through any other means established in Article 38 of Law 30/1992, dated 26 November, on the Legal Procedures of Public Adminstration and Common Adminstrative Procedures (BOE nº 285, dated 27 November). Who is eligible for this aid and what requirements must be met to receive such aid? Local organisations in the Valencian Region are eligible for the financial aid offered by the present call for applications, provided they meet the following conditions: 1. The area in question must have an immigrant population greater than 3% (immigrants registered with municipality) of the total population; as per data contained in the latest official update of the Municipal Registry published by INE (Spanish Statistics Agency) before the resolution of the present call for applications.
2. The organisation must first have requested their membership to the AMICS Network from the General Directorate of Immigration, before the deadline of the present call for applications, by way of a resolution from the president of the local organisation in question. 3. The organisation must have a plan for immigrant integration for that particular area that has been approved by the competent body of the local organisation. This must be approved before the deadline of the present call for applications.
4. The local organisation cannot incur in any of the circumstances set out in Article 13.2 of General Subsidies Law 38/2003, dated 17 November and in Articles 18 and concurrent Articles in Royal Decree 887/2006, dated 21 July, which approves Regulations for the above law. 5. The organisations cannot have received funding in previous years towards the same end and of the same type through a call for applications of similar nature or from a collaborative agreement from any governing immigration council, for the creation and launch of an AMICS agency. The non-compliance with any of the aforementioned conditions shall exclude the application from the present call for applications.
What documents do I need to submit? The application must be accompanied by the following documentation: a) Official photocopy of Legal Entity Card (Tarjeta de Personas JurÃdicas y Entidades) which includes the CIF of the local organisation that wishes to apply for aid. b) Official photocopy of the DNI of the legal representative of the local organisation. c) Document from the secretary of said organisation certifying that signee can legally represent organisation (appointment and investiture). d) Document showing resolution by president of said organisation accrediting their application for adhesion to the AMICS Network, as well as document which certifies that the above application was submitted to the General Directorate of Immigration before the deadline for the present call for applications. e) Detailed budget of equipment and inventoriable material the procurement of which is needed for the creation and launch of the AMICS Agency.
f) Official photocopy of the plan for integration of immigrants, approved by the competent governing body of the local organisation and the document prepared by the secretary which certifies this approval. g) For cases in which the area comprises a grouping of municipalities or a greater metropolitan area made up of several cities/towns, a document shall be submitted from the secretary of said organisation listing municipalities contained therein, as well as those that will be fall into the new AMICS catchment area.
h) Bank Form, (Ficha de mantenimiento de terceros) as per the form included in Appendix III in the present call for applications. This is only necessary if the organisation has never before dealt with the Generalitat Valenciana or if the organisation wishes to submit bank information other than that given on previous instances. All documents must be originals, except where Official photocopies are requested. What is the deadline for submission of documents? Deadline for submission of documents is of one month after the publication of the present resolution. Deadline: 19 January 2009.
