18-05-09 The First Local Pact for Integration, a project backed by the Council for Immigration and Citizenship, was signed by the President of the Generalitat, the three Provincial governments and City Councils and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.

First agreement on Immigration

This first agreement on Integration was developed by the Council for Immigration and Citizenship and backed by collaboration from the Public Administration, syndicates and business leaders, all working together in favour of immigration.

This Agreement deals with Education, Healthcare, Housing and Training and Employment with an aim to improve and coordinate integration for immigrants.

Our work is of vital importance given that 17% of the Valencian Region population is foreign.

Order 11/2010, regulating government authorisation to offer Voluntary Education Programmes on Valencian Society as part of the School for Newcomers

ORDER 11/2010 dated 27 September by the Council for Solidarity and Citizenship of the Generalitat of Valencia: This order regulates government authorisation to organisations to offer Voluntary Education Programmes on Valencian Society, authorising bodies such as social organisations, local organisations, local government bodies, professional associations and universities to become Schools for Newcomers, provided they meet requisites set out in the above Order.
